Corporate Exploratory Programs
Understand a Market Before You Enter It.
Data can tell you a great deal about a potential market. But some questions are best explored in place.
Executive GlobeTREK designs customized exploratory programs for organizations considering expansion, partnerships, investment, or deeper engagement in international markets. We connect leadership teams with local experts, organizations, communities, and cultural contexts to help them develop a richer understanding of the environments in which they may operate.
Local Knowledge. Broader Perspective.
Executive GlobeTREK does not arrive with predetermined answers. We create access to the people and places that can help your organization ask better questions.
By combining local expertise, cultural context, firsthand experience, and intentional reflection, Corporate Exploratory Programs help leaders develop a more nuanced understanding of a region before determining what comes next.
We help companies make smarter, more culturally aligned decisions that reduce expansion risks and accelerate success.
Go Beyond the Market Report
Corporate Exploratory Programs allow leaders to experience a market firsthand—meeting people, asking questions, observing how business and culture intersect, and exploring the realities behind the data.
Depending on your goals, an exploratory program might include:
Industry & Business Connections
Meetings with local companies, entrepreneurs, industry experts, potential partners, and professional networks.
Local Expertise
Engagement with scholars, legal and regulatory experts, government representatives, cultural advisors, and other specialists relevant to your questions.
Cultural & Community Context
Curated experiences that help leaders understand the histories, values, relationships, and cultural dynamics shaping the market.
Seamless Global Coordination
EGT designs the visit, identifies and coordinates appropriate local resources, and manages the logistics that bring the experience together.
Deep Expertise in the Global South
Some of the world’s most dynamic opportunities—and most complex questions—are emerging across the Global South.
Executive GlobeTREK brings particular experience, relationships, and regional knowledge across Sub-Saharan Africa, Southeast Asia, and Oceania. We design exploratory programs that help organizations move beyond reports and market data to understand the people, places, systems, and cultural contexts shaping the environments they are considering.
Through our global network, we connect leadership teams with local scholars, industry professionals, entrepreneurs, community leaders, institutions, and other subject-matter experts who can provide perspectives that are difficult to gain from afar.
Explore Through an Industry Lens
Each program begins with the questions your organization needs to explore. Depending on your goals, EGT can build connections and experiences around sectors such as:
Agriculture & Food Systems
Production, agribusiness, food security, agricultural innovation, and sustainable practices.
Sustainable Development
Climate resilience, community development, infrastructure, natural resources, and locally grounded approaches to sustainability.
Education & Workforce Development
Education systems, universities, workforce preparation, skills development, and talent pipelines.
Manufacturing
Local production environments, workforce considerations, industrial ecosystems, innovation, and potential partnerships.
Supply Chain & Logistics
Regional infrastructure, sourcing environments, distribution networks, ports and transportation, and the people and organizations working across supply chains.
And Beyond
Programs can be developed around other industries and organizational questions by drawing upon EGT’s broader network of regional and subject-matter expertise.
Sample Corporate Exploratory Program
Ghana | Agribusiness & Sustainable Food Systems
Accra + Kumasi | 6 Days
Purpose: Designed for a U.S.-based agriscience company exploring potential partnerships and opportunities in West Africa. EGT creates the framework, identifies relevant local experts and organizations, facilitates connections, and coordinates the in-country experience.
Day 1 — Arrival & Understanding Ghana
Theme: Beginning with Context
Arrive in Accra and settle in. Begin with an orientation to Ghana's cultural, historical, and economic landscape, followed by a welcome dinner with a local expert who can help frame the questions the company will explore throughout the week.
Day 2 — Agriculture in Context
Theme: Understanding the Landscape
Meet with agricultural scholars, industry specialists, and other local experts to better understand Ghana's agricultural ecosystem. Explore how geography, infrastructure, food systems, sustainability, and local priorities shape the sector, with time at the end of the day for the team to reflect on what they are learning.
Day 3 — Business, Innovation & Partnership
Theme: Listening to Local Perspectives
Engage with entrepreneurs, agribusiness leaders, professional networks, and potential partners in Accra. Rather than relying only on formal presentations, conversations are designed to give company leaders opportunities to ask questions, compare perspectives, and better understand how relationships and business practices work in the Ghanaian context.
Day 4 — Accra to Kumasi
Theme: Seeing Beyond the Capital
Travel to Kumasi and explore a different regional context. Meet local stakeholders and visit agricultural or food-system initiatives relevant to the company's interests. Cultural experiences provide additional insight into the histories, communities, and relationships that shape the region.
Day 5 — Agriculture in Practice
Theme: From Systems to Lived Experience
Spend the day engaging directly with producers, researchers, cooperatives, agricultural organizations, or other relevant partners. The emphasis is on seeing how agricultural systems operate in practice and hearing directly from the people working within them.
Day 6 — Making Sense of What We Learned
Theme: From Exploration to Next Questions
Return to Accra for a final synthesis session. EGT facilitates a structured conversation connecting the week's experiences to the organization's original exploratory questions. The team identifies areas requiring additional research, relationships worth pursuing, and questions that should inform its next stage of decision-making before departure.
